Haute Musique continues its deep-house excavation with release number 68, welcoming back Ecuador’s rising underground craftsman Deep Wave Echo with his Space Anomaly EP.

Following the strong reception of his contribution to Haute Collection Vol.12, DWE returns with a two-track statement that further cements his identity as one of the label’s most intriguing new stylists, balancing groove, atmosphere and intricate detail with remarkable finesse.

Opening cut Fractal2 dives straight into the late-night spectrum with a deep, bouncy and subtly tech-infused groove. Warm rolling basslines collide with crisp percussion programming while seductive vocal licks drift in and out of the mix like distant transmissions from another dimension. Spacious dubby textures, evolving synth stabs and clever rhythmic edits keep the journey in constant motion, creating a hypnotic dancefloor weapon that feels equally tailored for intimate basement sessions and sunrise terrace moments.

On the flip, Frgmnt_09. Hailing from Almaty, Kazakhstan, Woki Toki has quietly built a reputation for atmospheric electronic music that moves between deep house textures, warm emotive energy, and ambient depth. With a string of releases on respected underground labels behind him, he arrives on OH! Records Stockholm with a three-track EP made equally for sunsets and dancefloors.

The EP opens with Sweet Time — a laid-back downtempo journey tailor-made for lazy beach days and poolside afternoons. Wrapped in warm, sun-bleached textures and carrying an unmistakable Café del Mar spirit, it captures that elusive golden-hour feeling: perfect for sunset sets and slow summer evenings alike.

Still Night shifts into a deeper shade. Driven by warm basslines and hypnotic grooves, it leans into a timeless deep house sensibility that somehow manages to feel both nostalgic and entirely fresh.

Humberto Pernett – Drum My Religion (Les Disques du bord de l’eau)

Colombian electronic cumbia pioneer Humberto Pernett unveils “Drum My Religion”, the first single and EP from his forthcoming album La Migración, a deeply personal musical journey that reflects his unique fusion of jazz, funk, cumbia, soul, and electronic music. The project represents both his artistic evolution and his personal journey across cultures and continents.

“Drum My Religion” celebrates the rich African heritage that has profoundly shaped the cultures and musical traditions of the American continent while tracing Pernett’s path of artistic growth, migration, and self-discovery over more than three decades of travel and musical exploration. Through powerful rhythms, ancestral percussion, and contemporary electronic sounds, Pernett pays tribute to the traditions that formed him while embracing the global influences that continue to inspire his work.

The single will be released on Friday, July 10, coinciding with Pernett’s performance at the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. The release marks the first chapter of La Migración, which will be followed by an EP later in the year and culminate with the full album release in March 2027.

With La Migración, Pernett offers a compelling narrative of identity, movement, and cultural exchange, connecting his Colombian roots with an international artistic journey. Blending tradition and innovation, the album stands as a testament to the transformative power of music and the enduring dialogue between local heritage and global experience.
