Alffie – Riesgo EP (Baile Musik)

We are glad to present our new artist Alffie and his Riesgo EP. Based in Madrid, Alffie’s passion began as a teenager and it was a matter of time before he would study sound engineering and fall in love with electronic music. Strongly influenced and inspired by his years spent in London, he then became a regular in the vibrant underground scene in Madrid, playing his minimal and house beats every Saturday at Goya Social Club as part of his Roots residency.

Release date: 03/25/19
Beatport 4 weeks Exclusive: 02/25/19

Ethan Poe – It Could Be EP (Colour In Music Records)

The ‘It Could Be’ EP by Ethan Poe is a strong testament to the polished yet playful Dub-House sound that we came to expect from Portugal based Colour In Music Records.
The title track comes with a slick 4 to the floor house groove, wildly echoing filtered stabs and sultry pitched down vocals, setting the tone for the EP.
The Rubinskee Remix keeps the sombre ambience from the original over a gently building live drum pattern, until a wild pulse bass-sequence breaks open the track, evoking warehouse feelings.
With ‘Don’t Look Back’, we see Ethan Poe in a more funky mood, lacing a shuffling beat with tightly sequenced synth bass, swirling leads and the spacious filtered stabs.
‘Say Nothing’ closes the EP with a very reduced and laid back atmosphere, still in a head-nodding house fashion, but with a wagon load trippy pads, strings and layers of sequenced synth goodness.

Ensall – Dubplate License EP (Dusty Grooves Records)

One of our two label bosses ‘ENSALL’ is bringing in the new year on Dusty Grooves with his long awaited ‘Dubplate License EP.’ The EP is started off with a jungle inspired tech house roller ‘Dubplate License’ and is paired with a slightly deeper track on ‘What They Say.’ Both tracks have those signature ENSALL drums and this EP give an example of what is to come from him this year. We also have two of our biggest remixer’s to date on one release. Alvaro Smart is one name we have wanted to get involved for a long time and he’s shown us why with his hard hitting rework of Dubplate License! Leigh D Oliver has also provided a stripped back darker version of ‘What They Say’. We are starting off 2019 the right way!
