John Creamer & Stephane K. feat Nkemdi – I Wish You Were Here (2020 Remixes) (Ready Mix Records)

Release Date:
October 30th 2020 (Beatport Exclusive)
November 13th 2020 (Worldwide)

Ready Mix Records celebrates its 21st Anniversary with this very special release featuring brand new remixes of John Creamer & Stephane K’s 2001 classic ‘I Wish You Were Here’ by Martijn ten Velden aka MTV, Stan Kolev, Spieltape, Fabien Kamb, Music P & Marque Aurel and Khaaron.
Featuring sublime vocals from Nkemdi, ‘I Wish You Were Here’ was originally issued on 12′ vinyl just after the turn of the Century and has since gone on to become a bona-fide house classic.
Legendary Dutch producer Martijn ten Velden is first up to rework ‘I Wish You Were Here’, slowing the original tempo, adding percussion and building up a shimmering, rhythmic Afro groove to reflect those spine-tingling vocals to perfection.
Ready Mix regular Stan Kolev turns in a characteristically deep, progressive, atmospheric and engaging remix. Stan re-arranges the vocal is his own special way and creates a spine-tingling epic break.
Label Boss BiG AL delivers a special breakless edit of Stan Kolev’s Remix, strictly for the heads.
Spieltape dreams up a sparse and expansive version of ‘I Wish You Were Here’, with haunting synths and hypnotic chords riding a rock-solid rhythm.
Fabien Kamb gently guides ‘I Wish You Were Here’ into more progressive territory, with dramatic synths and a breathtaking breakdown.
German / Swiss duo of Music P and Marque Aurel turn back the clock with some classic arpeggios, sweeps and snare rolls in their Housier take on the track.
Finally, Robert R. Hardy aka D.M.P., aka Khaaron, dreams up a melodious, faintly melancholic re-imagining of ‘I Wish You Were Here’, with echoing orchestral chords and a head-nodding groove.

Andrew Macari Hidden Textures EP (Viva Recordings)

Some Like Change
U Want Deep
My Soul Brothers

Veteran deep house DJ/producer Andrew Macari returns for his second full EP on Viva Recordings, the Hidden Textures EP. Andrew’s discography is wide, recording for classic imprints like Large Music, Afterhours, Greenhouse, and Nordic Trax. He has also recorded cuts as part of Toka Project, Filter Flow, and Guided Methods, and presently releases jackin’ tracks under the alias Greenbay Jackers.

“Some Like Change” opens the EP with a tough kick drum rhythm that softens with the addition of chiming chords and crisp snares. An affecting and effected vocal phrase, rolling bass line, and deep background pads further a dreamy atmosphere. A classic house music bass sound and faraway melodies feature in “U Want Deep,” as cryptic voices and swishing textures float about the stereo field. “My Soul Brothers” has a grittier intro, enhanced by a potent bass line, cool spoken vocal flourishes, and rhythmic staccato keys. It’s spacey, but it’s also a roller. Great vibes all around from Andrew Macari on the Hidden Textures EP … don’t miss out.

Mick Wilson & August Artier – Kisetsu Series Natsu EP (RAWAX Digital)

Release Date: 28th September 2020

Mick Wilson & August Artier, return with their second release on RAWAX Digital – Natsu EP, the second in a compilation of four releases that make up the Kisetsu Series. This four track EP ventures further into the sonic exploration as heard in the first outing taking in a new level of finely crafted electronic sounds.

Vol II of the Kisetsu Series brings the same delicate musical balance found on the original Haru EP, whereas Natsu picks up the pace to reflect the change of the seasons, once again exploring the true sonic and analog nature of music that can be heard teetering between Dub techno, Acid and House each equally reflected in this, the second release, the Natsu E.P.

The Natsu E.P. follows form with four tracks that explore deep melancholy chord progressions that flirt with defined percussive grooves and lush string arrangements again with the murmurings of the classic TB-303.

As with the previous EP each track throughout the series follows a numbering format that doesn’t dictate a running order, a simple marker as to the flowing nature of the music that reveals the greater musical composition as a whole within the defined numerical movements.

Klartraum – Manifestation Blueprint (Remixes) (Lucidflow Records)

Klartraum pairing Nadja Lind and Helmut Ebritsch see their latest album put through the remix machine, with this second session of reworks. The first featured storied producers D. Diggler and Jam El Mar at the controls, and this release sees no let up in quality as Dapayk Solo and Tigerskin are the chosen ones this time around.

Both artists are admired by the Lucidflow stable, with Nadja playing vinyl copies of the pairing’s records for many years now. Dapayk Solo – aka Niklas Worgt – has a prolific production history across labels such as Stil vor Talent, Resopal Schallware, and Trapez.
While Tigerskin – aka Alexander Krüger – is well known for his productions across Dirt Crew Recordings, Harthouse, liebe*detail, and DFTD, as well as remixing top tier acts such as Depeche Mode, Rick Wade and Terranova.

‘Manifestation’ is taken through a tense, sharp angled workout by Dapayk Solo, with deft chords as sharp as a razor and sci-fi synths that arc across the mix.

Stand out album cut ‘Weltenwandler’ is taken from its emotive key changing roots into a emphatically cosmic journey by Tigerskin, leaving you with a track that is absolutely for those who live in the diamond dust trails that comets leave behind on their through the stars.

The original ‘Manifestation’ rounds off the package, mixing together stuttering, gaseous emissions with big widescreen dub chords and subtle trance arpeggios. A track that embodies inhalation and exhalation, subconsciously focusing you on the flow of air in and out of your body as you listen to it.

The second ‘Manifestation’ Remixes package will be available from all the usual digital stockists.
Pre releases: Beatport 16th Nov & 23rd Nov. All shops 7th Dec.
