XYZ is a label set up by the team behind the When We Dip publication and its sound focuses on melodic grooves and ambient moods, where intricate melodies meet club-friendly percussion.

The latest EP welcomes Luka Sambe who is an Australian artist and no stranger to aficionados of deep and melodic house with prior releases on labels ranging from Guy J’s Lost & Found to Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat.

Featuring four of his original tracks, this is his debut on the XYZ imprint, and he has pulled out all the stops to make a big impression that easily lives up to fans high expectations.

Luka Sambe blends classic sounds with innovative creativity to present something both contemporary and timeless. Off-kilter synth rhythms are woven throughout, harnessing percussion while sturdy basslines keep the tracks grounded on the dance floor.

Camiel Daamen & Arie – Do What You Like EP (Origins Rcrds)

Continuing is output of high quality house and tech house releases, Origins Rcrds drops the Do What You Like EP by Camiel Daamen and Arie this November.

Camiel Daamen, first remixed a Josh Butler track Butler & Murt – Make It Hot on Breakout Audio in 2011 and pair have been in contact ever since. Since then he has showcased his talents for producing high grade weapons from across the genre spectrum of deep, with releases on more minimal and deep house labels suchs as Whoyostro LTD, Inmotion Records, LW recordings, through to the more melodic nature of Audiofluy’s Supernature, with his sounds collectinig praise from the likes of Loco Dice, Brothers Vibe and Maya Jane Coles along the way.

The first track on the release is Do What You Like, a slick bouncing deep and minimal house cut, with its shuffling hi’s, intricate chord patterns combining with vocal cuts to deliver an energetic and cool lead track.

Track 2 is titled, Falling. This is an exquisite smooth deep journey of a track with the chords providing the push, the pads delivering the journey and vocal soundbites putting the gloss on top.

Track three is Schwarzinator, which gets into it straight from the off. The bassline gives this track its energy and its excellent arrangement and structure makes this one for peak time dance floors and delivers the perfect final track to the EP.

Yet again Josh Butler’s A&R skills have brought in a excellent release to the Origins Rcrds camp and delivers the perfect EP to soundtrack the winter months.
