Sumsuch – Find Home (Remixes) (Be Adult Music)

The original version of ‘Find Home’ went on sale in 2015 on Colour and Pitch, the label owned by Sumsuch, and the Be Adult Music team decided to revive it and present brand new versions for 2020. So, here is an incredible remix by the great Vincenzo, plus sublime reworks by Kanedo and Tibor Dragan. Enjoy this truly special release for a rough year ending.

Glass Slipper – Land of Love (Harmonious Discord)

Occupying the airwaves with soulful technology is Austin-based duo Glass Slipper. Glass Slipper is a vocal house music project from Lisa Cork-Twiss and Brad Eller. Lisa is known as a former member of Real McCoy and Brad is a respected vet of the SF Bay Area scene. Their project merges classic soul with forward thinking instrumentation and thought-provoking messages critical of the times. Recently, Glass Slipper has seen a string of releases on house staples like Sole Channel, Puro Music, Colour and Pitch, Subplot, and Midnight Riot. When a studio video passed the desk at Harmonious Discord headquarters the label immediately ‘fell in’ with “Land of Love.” To compliment this special selection, remixes were chosen courtesy of musical cosmonaut KiloWatts and deep dub designer Hubb.

“Land of Love” is a journey laden in lush pads, funky square-wave bass lines, and vocal textures taunting and leading the listener forward. Cascaded drips of melody roll over the sonic environment like water as a building intensity is translated through the evolving bass patterns. The Dub offers a slightly altered shade with tech-leaning drum arrangements and subtle vocal effect trails. KiloWatts provides a vibey broken beat interpretation with finely crafted fills. Pleasant arpeggiations dance around funky bass constructions while melodic density rises upward, ultimately leading to a layer cake of synthesizer tension. Early morning duties are offered by Hubb with his 5am love, featuring hints of guitar and piano setting the vocal components adrift in a sea of warmth.

Boogie Vice feat Deep Aztec – Get Down (Get Physical Music)

Boogie Vice debuts with Deep Aztec on Get Physical in January delivering new single ’Get Down’, accompanied by a remix from N-You-Up.

Parisian talent, Boogie Vice has rapidly gained momentum since making his debut in 2014, hitting Beatport’s Nu Disco chart upon release with his tracks ’Bel-Air’ on Erase Records and ’Bad Girl’ on Sharam Jey’s Bunny Tiger. This multi-faceted artist has also released material via the likes of Amine Edge & DANCE’s Cuff and Miguel Campbell’s Outcross Records. He now heads over to Get Physical alongside Sensual Sounds head honcho Deep Aztec to offer up his latest EP entitled ’Get Down’, backed by a remix from N-You-Up.

The energetic ’Get Down’ is fueled by slick bass sequences, sharp hi-hats and shimmering effects which all come together for this infectious dancefloor gem, whilst the dub mix delivers a truly electryfying production, powered with acidic lines and soaring low frequency elements. The September version takes a more chilled
approach, combining spiralling synths with loose drums and warped effects to reveal a track destined for the after-hours. To close, N-You-Up’s remix unveils a stripped back, deep house track from the French talent, charged with funk-tinged melodies, luscious chords and soulful vocals to shape up this exceptional offering.

This is an outstanding EP on the ever-impressive Get Physical label and marks the beginning of a musical relationship with Boogie Vice and Deep Aztec.
