Valer den Bit – Kiss EP (Kindisch Records)

Valer den Bit starts his journey on Kindisch with a showcase of organic deep house, and Afro sounds across a trio of sublime cuts.

Valer den Bit hails from Saint Petersburg and is part of the melodic movement. He has released his cultured productions on the likes of Bar 25 Music, connected and Poesie Musik over the last couple of years and has really turned heads. He has climbed high in the Beatport charts and DJed across Europe whilst picking up support from names like Nora En Pure, Re You and FNX Omar. This new EP is another mix of rich and club-ready bass and plenty of his fine piano and synth playing skills.

The title track opens up with seven minutes of subtly uplifting Afro-house. The deep and unhurried drums exude real warmth as hooky strings and unique vocal sounds bring the soul. Add in thoughtful chords, and you have a track packed with feeling. The brilliant ‘Feel Me’ is another deep roller, this time with a smoother and more dynamic groove thanks to the smeared pads and rolling keys. A whispered vocal is an imitate and seductive finishing touch. Last of all is the superb ‘Sphere,’ a spine-tinging house sound with spiritual pads and rich strings adding a sophisticated edge. The majestic melodies shimmer like candles in the darkness and complete a truly sumptuous trip.

Valer den Bit cooks up a genuinely special mood with the Kiss EP.

“Let You Go” is the EP’s title track, and it opens the release with a bumping groove consisting of a breakbeat kick drum pattern and a deep bassline. Atmospheric vocal textures create a trippy atmosphere while snare rolls and crisp hi-hats fill the track with upbeat energy.
