Sealtian – Marram EP (Earthly Delights)

Earthly Delights is a record label known for its melodic releases with deep atmosphere and organic sounds. The label’s new release is a three-track EP by Sealtian who is fast becoming one of the imprint’s most beloved producers.

Sealtian is an exciting new talent whose soothing style is a revitalising blend of heartwarming melody and flowing percussion. This is his second solo EP for Earthly Delights and fifth time featuring a contribution to one of the label’s releases. His music can also be found on other respected imprints such as Souksonic.

“Marram” is the EP’s title track, and it’s got shimmering pads and sweeping strings that are accompanied by ethereal vocal tones and uplifting melodies.

“High Tide” has emotive pads and liquid textures that give the track a tranquil atmosphere underpinned by percussion that’s perfect for the dance floor.

“Blakeney Point” is the most percussive track on the EP and its poignant piano melodies intertwine with bird sounds and soaring strings that add to the intricacy of the rhythms.

Zoi – Meet My Tempo EP (Tales of Romance)

When We Dip’s record label, TOR is proud to present its first EP of 2024, and it’s a majestic deep house EP by Zoi that also features stunning remixes by Manu, Gullen and Madmotormiquel.

Zoi hails from Karachi in Pakistan, but is now an integral part of Toronto’s electronic music scene as a programmer of the Sub Division club, co-founder of his collective Untold Stories and has also featured music on other prestigious record labels ranging from Kindisch to Traum.

First of the remixes is by Manu, who’s a Canadian artist with a deep and techy style.

Second on remix duty, Gullen is a Spanish artist who is known for his deep and melodic releases on prestigious record labels such as Mobilee.

Also providing a rework, Madmotormiquel is a revered German artist who has helped shape the global organic house scene with his invigorating DJ sets, and releases on record labels ranging from Bar 25 to Katermukke.

Each of the remix artists leaves their mark on the title track “Meet My Tempo,” which is a smouldering track with dusty pads and haunting vocals layered over the old-school vibes of stripped-back percussion.

Manu goes deep and dubby with the addition of a new bassline, Gullen lifts the energy with the techy groove of his indie dance remix, and Madmotormiquel adds extra percussion to his organic house rework.

“Inner Solstice” is second of the original tracks, and it’s got jazzy melodies layered over shuffling percussion and soothing pads.

Embark on aural explorations with Expmental Records’ inaugural foray of the year – “Mental Picks Vol. 43.” Continuing the esteemed tradition of our Various Artists series, we kick off with a selection that’s bound to captivate both discerning artists and avid music fans alike, surveying the dynamic landscape of underground club sound.

This eclectic compilation voyages from the vibrant locales of Europe to the bustling scenes of the USA and the innovative hubs of Australia, presenting a rich tapestry of global beats. Anchoring the release is the third collaborative effort from label boss Eddy Romero and UK’s Mica, whose synergy has previously graced esteemed imprints including Bondage Music with their deep, resonant productions.

Welcoming fresh talent, Spain’s own Arval unveils his debut release on our label. Known to many as Álvaro Muñoz, he embarks on a fresh odyssey under this moniker, promising an evolution of his artistry steeped in the roots of the underground sound.

We then jet to the sun-kissed shores of Miami to introduce the New York underground aficionado, Richard Rozen, who imparts his debut track with us. A true vinyl culture enthusiast, Rozen’s contribution epitomizes the raw and authentic vibe that ignites our collective passion for pure, undiluted club music.

Matt Prehn – It Wouldn’t Hurt (Oh So Coy Recordings)

This next release from Oh So Coy Recs is supplied by label head Matt Prehn and comes backed with a solid pack of remixes from around the globe.

Portugese producer Amarno (Little Helpers, Seven Villas, Color In Music) turns in a dark and moody interpretation keeping the original essence intact. Over in the UK Col Lawton takes things deep and funky with a heady dose of attitude and back in SA – Sizz Nickhrome slows the tempo with a searing dub cut.

All in all a little flavour for most floors.
