Xosé Lois Romero & Ailboria – Olvidame en A Roda Da Vida (Cosmic Awakenings Music)

Release Date: Friday 22 April 2022
Format: Digital

Cosmic Awakenings is an organic house label run by Lemurian, and its new release blends rich percussive textures with Latin flair.

Xosé Lois Romero & Ailboria provide the original tracks, and the release also features remixes by estimua, Yemanjo and Murmusica, plus a collaborative rework from Lemurian & J.Pool.

This is the first time Xosé Lois Romero & Ailboria have featured on Cosmic Awakenings and are a band from Spain who blend powerful percussion with traditional instruments and harmonised vocals inspired by local folk law.

Germany’s estimua recently dropped an EP via the Exotic Refreshment record label after a debut track on the Kosa imprint, and his edit on this release is a debut rework from the talented producer whose enchanting style of downtempo electronic is on full display here.

Yemanjo makes a return to Cosmic Awakenings with his remix, and has featured on other imprints including Camel Riders and Trndmsk. Based in Guatemala, he has a psychedelic style with a blend of live instrumentation and electronic textures.

Murmusica brings his sun-drenched style to this release after previously featuring on Underyourskin Records. In the past he has collaborated with the likes of Derun, but this time he showcases himself as a solo producer.

Lemurian is a Peruvian artist currently living in Tulum, Mexico. Along with being the Cosmic Awakenings label owner, he has also featured his tracks on other imprints ranging from Kindisch to Sol Selectas. J.Pool is becoming a regular on Cosmic Awakenings, as recently he has been collaborating with Lemurian in addition to his solo tracks on other labels such as Lump Records and Abracadabra Music.

Last of the remixes on this release is from Alvaro Suarez who blends his classically trained musician skills with electronic beats and earthy textures. Creating his own unique style of organic house, he has previously released tracks and remixes via Do Not Sit, Pipe & Pochet and Magician On Duty.

Enamour – Ergot EP (Get Physical Music)

Washington DC’s Enamour follows up a release on Kindisch with a step over to Get Physical Music for his new Ergot EP.

Enamour has a signature sound that is as effective in the club as it is for headphone introspection, whether he’s producing deep, melodic or progressive house. In quick time, he has built up fans around the world including influential DJs like Sasha, Lee Burridge, and Guy J. After well-received EPs on Anjunadeep, Last Night on Earth, Einmusika, and Desert Hearts, he now arrives on Get Physical Music.

Opener ‘Ergot’ is a fun and stylish house cut. It is loose and fluid, with slick percussion and bubbling synths that are full of personality. The amusing combination sets the tone while a bright melody adds a gently euphoric touch. The brilliant “Dreamland’ has a playful and subtly funky groove overlaid with synthwork that drips of futuristic psychedelia. Pads leave long tails in their wake with diffuse neon hues that are easy to get lost in. ‘Hang in There!’ is the final tune and a serious ear-twister. The bass remains elastic as it weaves its way beneath edgy, whimsical chords that build tension and bring cosmic vibes to this memorable record.

The three tracks are each characterful vibe-setters in their own right, with distinct sonic choices that are sure to turn heads on the dance floor. Take a trip with Enamour’s Ergot EP, another widescreen showcase of his well-crafted sounds and unique style.
