VA – Ma’at (Sounds of Khemit)

Sounds of Khemit is a melodic house label run by Nhii that focuses on tracks with organic grooves, upbeat energy and tribal rhythms.

The label’s new release is a three-track mixed artist EP featuring stunning solo productions by LADS, Mitch Oliver and Annett Gapstream.

Khemit is a culture from ancient Egypt, and this EP pays homage to Ma’at whose an ancient god that was revered for her principles of truth, order, harmony, balance, morality, justice, and law.

LADS are a South American and German duo who along with previous releases on Sounds of Khemit, have released their uplifting style of enchanting house music via labels ranging from Guy J’s Lost & Found to Harabe.

Mitch Oliver is a Canadian artist known for his enchanting style of immersive organic house on labels such as TRYBESof, Kindisch, Hoomidaas and Magician On Duty.

Annett Gapstream is a German artist whose music fuses soaring melodies with epic atmosphere and powerful percussion. Her music can also be found on other imprints including Stil vor Talent, Watergate and her own label Artminding.

All three of the spellbinding tracks on this release fuse majestic melodies with flowing percussion to create dance floor orientated tracks with a captivating atmosphere.

Momo Khani & ID.Jay – Azadi (Be Adult Music)

Momo Khani is back on Be Adult music, this time with a collaboration with ID.Jay, Beirut based electronic music producer and artist.

“Azadi“ which means “freedom“ in Persian, is dedicated to the women freedom movement in Iran, a track to dive deep. The EP comes with a remix by Be Adult family member Evren Furtuna.
Evren’s remix is filled with remarkable groove, breathy soft vocals and rich ambient pads.

Matt Sawyer – Momento (Villahangar Records)

After the EP “Cloud’s Song” of 2021 and the song “Rendering” of last February, Matt Sawyer returns with a new release for Villahangar: “Momento”, a melodic, energetic and engaging song.

A simple but pressingmelody, fun, enveloping, inserted in a mood able to create, precisely, a “moment”. A track developed over time, the result of entire piano sessions, synths and melodies, then recovered and inserted to complete or give a different thickness: elements to be set aside and rediscovered with another point of view. An accurate work in placing the percussion and the bass turn,for the drafting and input of the piano, avoiding a too forced drop, to which to arrive with the rhythm and background melodies.

And inserting as many real instruments as possible into the composition, exploring different cultures and uses of the same instrument: guitar, piano, synthesizer or vocals. A new step in the path of musical maturation of the artist, who maintaining his taste for the use of drum machines or percussion, reaches a new level of awareness and personal taste.

CELO Rec is back with a new Various Artists Release. This VA reunites very talented artists and friends from the minimal house scene: Zakaria, Jarod, Petit Batou, Alffie, Ja Kub, Phoq & Kawatin. The release contains a large palette of subtle and unique sounds sustained by groovy rhythms.

Gift of Africa – Anxiety EP (Oh So Coy Recordings)

Gift of Africa’s second OSC outing is a solo offering featuring 2 groove-laden House tracks. Remixes by rawBeetz and ZaVen add stunningly deep interpretations of the title track.

Safar (FR) – The Lost Tribe EP (Sol Selectas)

Sabo’s record label Sol Selectas welcomes a dramatic Afro house EP from Safar (FR).

Safar (FR) is a French artist with African roots and his music blends his multicultural background to create organic tracks with flowing percussion. Blending the electronic sounds of his European upbringing with the tribal rhythms of Africa, Safar (FR)’s music has been featured on influential record labels such as Deep Root Tribe, MoBlack Records and Moon Black Records.

This is Safar (FR)’s third time working with Sol Selectas after he previously featured a track on the label’s Summer Sol VII compilation and also remixed a track by ARKADYAN.

“The Lost Tribe” builds tension with rising pads underpinned by vibrant percussion sequenced into its a stomping groove with free-flowing elements. Tribal chants add to the ceremonial vibe that’s augmented with spiralling synths to create an energetic groove that’s full of tantalising suspense.

“Memelles” powerful vocals and pulsating synths that are cut by heavy percussion to create a jerking groove with Afro flavour. Powerful offbeat rhythms and spine-tingling synths combine with poignant piano melodies on this dance floor focused track that has a cinematic sound with epic atmosphere.

The cover by Helia Jamali portrays the lost tribe portal as they are entering new dimensions.

Camelõt – Deep Smile (Sound Vessel Records)

Deep Smile by Camelõt is a nice easy going Minimal Tune. This Duo is new to SVR from Argentina. To join them we have some nice remixes done by Forteba, which he is known with his drifting beats. G-Falex and JfAlexsander gives a nice deep remix to the original. While Khubos gives a more uplifting touch to the release.

Gabriel Vezzola – New Beginning EP (Déepalma Records)

Gabriel Vezzola has been a dedicated member of the house music religion for over two decades, working with well-known artists around the globe. In that time, he shaped a path where he finally found his sound and unique way of creating music. After his last release in April 2022, Gabriel is back on Déepalma shores with another impressive offering spanning two tracks for ‘New Beginning’.

Kicking off with ‘Gnostis’, Vezzola kicks into gear with an enthralling symphonic Deep House cut. Leading with punchy grooves and sizzling hat sequences – the track’s thickened lead synth and pulsating bass drive the track forwards as subtle stabs and reflective layers orbit its main body to carve out a standout dance track.

‘You Just Gave It All Up’ closes the release with sultry tones and sophisticated style from the outset. Sen-Sei & HUGEhands – Wait For You (Viva Recordings)

After the top ten Traxsource triumph of “You Got Something,” the veteran house music duo of Sen-Sei (Delve Deeper, Nervous) and HUGEhands (AKA James Druett — i Records, Sound Vessel) return for another stellar slab of deep and funky dancefloor vibes for Viva Recordings.

“Wait For You” showcases the pair’s musical prowess, with all music composed and played for the single, including some lovely interplay between saxophone and electric piano. The cut is smooth but driving, a tight four-on-the-floor beat guiding the melodic adventure.

Cool processed vocals and layers of sublime flourishes add to the track’s sensual late-night air. Legendary producer Demarkus Lewis is enlisted on the remix and fully delivers with Deez Flipper Mix. Demarkus takes full advantage of all the instrumentation options as he cuts, loops, stabs, and generally funks-up the source material.

Soul Groove (UK) – Jaded EP (Feedasoul Records)

Feedasoul Records’ resident artist delivers a stunning three-tracker. Soul Groove is back with his signature rhythm and vibe with ‘Jaded’.

The artist highlights his love of movement with a proper deep house cut laced with lots of percussion and soulful woodwind elements. The track builds beautifully around the soulful vocals that are present front and center in the track. Jaded gets a left-field rework focusing on atmosphere. A slowed-down, deeper broken rhythm lays the foundation along with the atmospheric pads that envelop the track. The vocals and woodwind samples cut through the mix to highlight Soul Groove’s Jazz, Soul, and Broken Beat influences.
