Welcome back to RMR ‘Focus’ compilation series where the label highlights an artist’s past and present body of work released on our network of labels.

Focus:008 shines the light on our hard working label Boss BiG AL who certainly needs no introduction but we’ll give him a short, well deserved one anyway.

BiG AL’s been running Ready Mix Records for 22 years and has over a thousand tracks with different aliases under his belt. From Harlem Knights to Beat Factory to BiGz to The Suppliers, Audio Lab, Soul Collective and a few classified ones.

Appearing on such legendary labels as Global Underground, Anjunadeep, Ministry Of Sound, Balance Series, i!Records, King Street, Be Adult Music, Oh! Records Stockholm, The Purr Music, UM Records, Submarine Vibes, Shango Records, Electronic Groove Records, Suprematic Sounds to name but a bunch.

Focus:008 showcases a selection of BiG AL’s discography which includes 16 Original tracks and 17 remixes for guys like Pete Moss, Onur Ozman, Adam Byrd, Stan Kolev & Juan Mejia, David Kassi, Deep Active Sound, Helly Larson (RIP) and many more.

When We Dip’s label TOR welcomes back Rashid Ajami whose music can be found on other labels including Get Physical, Einmusika, Anjunadeep, Selador and Tale + Tone.

Following Rashid Ajami’s ecstatic debut on TOR with the A-side on the label’s latest Tales of Romance project, he is now back to present a three-track solo EP of stunning melodic house with enchanting deep vibes.

In addition to his many original tracks, Rashid Ajami’s music has also been remixed on other releases by the likes of Maya Jane Coles and Atjaz.

The tracks on this release are an epic blend of haunting pads and soothing melodies that blended with an elixir of organic sounds, create emotive cuts perfect for the dance floor.

Tomy Wahl – Itza (Leisure Music Productions)

We are happy to welcome back talented Argentian DJ and producer ‘Tomy Wahl’ who is already a vibrant part of our Leisure Music Family. On this wonderful EP we also proudly welcome ‘Space Motion’ who did a remix of Tomy’s previously released track on our label called Kunda. Thank you so much for this amazing remix of Kunda.

‘Space Motion’ is Serbian DJ and producer who is active on the music scene for the past 16 years. His music represents a mixture of special and unique energy which he displays in genres like techno, progressive, tech and deep house as well as afro House. He also is the boss of his own very successful label called ‘Space Motion Records’.

Thank you both so much for bringing to us once more a fantastic Afro House EP called Itza.

Itza EP features 2 tracks ‘Itza’ and ‘Kunda’ (Space Motion Edit)

Itza is a groovy dancefloor track starting off with percussive elements, a melodic repetitive groovy bass synth progression, and a deep kick. All elements develop in synchronicity for an upbeat vocal to kick in, which is also used to accentuate the groove. A multitude of drum fills in various forms is applied, with a long persistent synth riser giving the track a fantastic traction and dynamic. Enjoy this wonderful dancefloor groover friends and fam.

Space Motion’s remix of Kunda starts off with a muffled kick and deep synth arp sequence flagged by classic African shakers. The groovy and deep bassline brings in the drive of the track surrounded by various percussive and sound FX- The vocal ‘Kunda’ is also applied in the track to establish an interesting groove with it. Multiple synth progression advance the track to a fascinating break. Progressive elements and heavy saw synth kick off the second half of this remix.

Jessie Rey – Back To Sinai (Elchinsoul Remix) (Purple Sun Recordings)

Jessie Rey’s wonderful story began at the illustrious Paradiz Records but it was taken over and transformed by the music magician Elchinsoul, into a real musical adventure. Jessie’s original song is now a real monster that will make you move from the first steps. The percussion elements make their presence felt from the beginning and the bass line is shocking.This one is a ‘must have’ in any DJ collectio. Enjoy!
