Nyvs – Adenosyn EP (Ready Mix Records)

Mysterious studio hermit Nyvs joins Ready Mix Records for release number 252, armed with a pair of mellow melodic gems, remixed by Ilias Katelanos and Khaaron.

Analog gear-head and anti-loudness warrior Nyvs’ first cut, ‘Adenosyn’, is warm and elegant, showing off shimmering organic-sounding synth chords and languid, dreamy rhythms in its nearly 8 minute journey.

Ready Mix favorite Ilias Katelanos delivers the goods once again with a deep, vibey, orchestral take on ‘Adenosyn’, floating above the clouds on a truly meditative arrangement.

Second original track ‘Bondobundu’ slows the tempo and summons up a moodier, more introspective feel, with subtly arpeggiated synths leading the way to a string-laden, poignant soundscape.

Another familiar name to Ready Mix fans, Khaaron (previously known as Robert R. Hardy and D.M.P.), closes the package with a subtle re-imagining of ‘Bondobundu’, playing with lazy conga rhythms and smooth synth atmospheres over the original’s hypnotic arpeggio.

DJ Feevos – Chanting (Nylon Trax)

With true pleasure, we welcome DJ Feevos to the Nylon Trax roster with his Afro Tech sensation entitled ‘Chanting,’ featuring the talented Vaggelis Stefanopoulos on keys and guitar. ‘Chant,’ also includes the coveted Jaymz Nylon Afro Tech ReShape.

DJ Feevos is as real as they come, with a resume that dates back to his beginnings in the 1980s in Athens as a pioneer who introduced the Dance Music scene to Greece and was also the owner of a well-known specialized record shop for DJs.

DJ Feevos’ musical influences span from Disco, Soul, Reggae, Balearic, and Jazz to early House music.

As a DJ, Feevos has held many residencies in Greece and the UK at several high-profile clubs and parties during the late 80s and the early 90s, offering him experience and knowledge that is expertly displayed in his lush and evocative productions.

Monkey Safari – Kami EP (Get Physical Music)

‘Kami’ is another superb EP to be taken from Monkey Safari’s forthcoming Body Language 24 mix.

This year has been all about Monkey Safari and the fantastic selection of singles from their forthcoming mix. Each one, whether an original or a remix, has been a crucial house cut. They have ranged from late night and seductive to more deep and driving and they come after many years of such output on this label as well as their own Hommage. Now come another two tracks ahead of the full 18-track compilation.

Opener ‘Kami’ is a loose and mysterious house cut. The rooted drums are hypnotic as curious melodies hang in the air above. Tender vocal sounds bleed into the mix to build the sense of soul and after a gentle breakdown the candle-lit vibes continue once more. ‘Light of Day’ then layers up hang drums, tambourines and drawn-out chords to make for an intoxicating and exotic house brew with a Middle Eastern edge.

Monkey Safari’s Kami EP is another essential house offering from these German mainstays.

Dust Yard – Astral EP (Bondage Music)

Dust Yard return to Bondage a fine 3 track EP, plus a hot remix from the legendary Sascha Dive.

Kicking off with ‘Astral’, this deep flowing gem is a tasty swaggering workout, with slightly dubby edges and subtle melodics, this moody little number fuses dark with light, while retaining the groove throughout.

Sascha Dive steps up on remix duties and strips things back. Pushing the drums loud and bringing the musicality down, gives this a stompy heads down vibe, before adding squelchy musicality and bringing the pads to shine through beautifully.

The next original track from Dust Yard is ‘Supernova’. Another deep yet warm slab of goodness, while keeping things deep but letting it really kick! Good vibes galore!

‘Zodiac’ rounds things off, and we go classic house edged, with its shoulder-swaying bumpinesss, and head nodding percussion.

Goose Tann & Inessa – Escape To Paradise (Leisure Music Productions)

We are so happy to present to you this wonderful EP by ‘Goose Tann’ and ‘Inessa’.

The message is Escape to Paradise. Under this vision both created 2 original mixes with their individual interpretations.

Goose Tann crafted an amazing melodic techno track taking you on his journey to paradise. Starting with a powerful kick and beautiful pads, fast hi hats, clap and deeper saw synths the track progresses amazingly with a steady but deep synth bassline. Main synth melody and techno Fx are carefully weaved in. A beautiful crafted piece of electronic music.

Inessa kicks off her progressive version with a strong kick and progressing sequence, accompanied by hats and percussive elements. Bringing in slowly the vocal of the track and main synth melodies. A perfect track for your outside area, sundown or closing your beach club set.

Florian Gasperini – Way To The Other World EP (Univack Records)

After the success of ‘A Man Said EP’, French producer Frorian Gasperini returns to univack with ‘Way To The Other World’, an EP with two originals plus a remix by one of the most important artists on the Organic House scene at the moment, Turkish Erdi Irmak.

The two originals composed by Florian Gasperini are an example of the most emotional and deep style of this producer, full of warm and melancholy harmonies, sinuous chords, sweet vocals, and tribal elements.

Erdi Irmak makes his mastery of the groove evident, and his skills to accompany it with a lot of melodic elements. His version of ‘Way To The Other World’ is perfect to dance it at sunset.

Kellerkind – Ten Years Disco On The Dancefloor (Sirion Records)

Should we look back and bring something of the past back into the forefront of our mind? Because Kellerkind’s “Disco on the Dancefloor” remains to this day a huge milestone in Sirion Records discography and the original track is still 10 years later an absolute earworm.

Dedication, constant focus on music, care and respect for others, are attributes that continue to apply to Kellerkind and have moved us to a remake of this infamous title.
As the title of the main track says, “Disco on the Dancefloor” with its groovy basses, poignant disco stabs is ideal for the dancefloor and still perfectly suited to inspire the masses.

But Kellerkind doesn’t rest on the guaranteed success of the past, he immediately delivers a thriving remake that perfectly reflects his current musical taste. Percussive, hypnotic and an all-around successful job to dress the track in a new garb.
Fittingly, there are two remixes by 8 Bit labelhead Gorge and Bernese producer Youen, among others.

A housy framework paired with percussion, discoid bass line and the hypnotic synth surface in the usual Gorge manner, not only gets the legs bobbing and the head nodding, but animates to conquer the dance floor.
Youen’s techhousy remix puts the focus more on kick and clap and therefore comes as a true stomper. Peppered with the discreetly used samples, this makes for a wonderfully danceable mix for peak time.

10 Years of “Disco on the Dancefloor” is therefore more current than ever and an absolute must in the record bag, either on vinyl or digitally.
