September 24th 2021 (Worldwide)
Khaaron returns to Ready Mix Records for label release number 239, a sophisticated pair of original tracks entitled ‘Escolta’ and ‘Estrellas Brillantes’.
Previously producing under aliases Robert R. Hardy and D.M.P., Khaaron is no stranger to Ready Mix, having turned in several fantastic remixes and one original EP, 2020’s ‘Del Sol’.
‘Escolta’, or ‘Bodyguard’, lays down a slow, rhythmic and mysterious melodic fragments before heart-rending, haunting Arabian voices take center stage.
‘Estrellas Brillantes’, or ‘Bright Stars’ in English, is a delicate deep house gem featuring a catchy Eastern string melody alongside mournful strings and a beautifully poised groove.
We sincerely hope you enjoy this unique and characterful brace of deep-thinking melodic cuts.
Darksidevinyl & Ucha – Zaiana (Floyd Lavine Remix) (TOR Muic)
Release Date: Friday 10 September 2021
When We Dip’s label TOR closes out the summer with a new Floyd Lavine remix of “Zaiana” by Darksidevinyl and Ucha.
Darksidevinyl and Ucha dropped the original mix of Zaiana on TOR in April 2021, and the track was an instant hit in the afro house section of Beatport, and picked up DJ support from some of the genres top club spinners.
Floyd Lavine has been invited to rework the jazz-funk-infused percussive flavour of the original, and he has delivered a stunning rework in the charismatic style he has featured on other imprints such as Watergate, Moon Harbour, Get Physical and his own Afrikan Tales.
Afro-house legend Floyd Lavine is a South African artist who in the past has remixed tracks by other artists such as Kerri Chandler and Pablo Fierro.
The remix is a deeper and more melodic version with a laid-back groove that utilises a revolving bassline and poignant melodies. Filtered drums and African rhythms add to its charming character, while the jazzy understated tones make this one for the heads.
Juergen Kirsch – Sa Barca EP (Bondage Music)
The ever reliable Bondage Music returns with three slabs of underground goodness, this time Juergen Kirsch steps up with Sa Barca.
Residing in Nuremberg and is holding a residency at Die Rakete, Jurgen Kirsch has released music on Stil vor Talent, Circle Music, Great Stuff, and of course returning here to Bondage.
.After an internship at Cocoon in Frankfurt, Jurgen started running the electronic open air festival “Wolke Sieben”. In the studio you can find Jurgen working both on his solo-projects and together with Patrick Kunkel.
The title track ‘Sa Barca’ is a bubbling cool acid blipped viber, shrouded in dubbiness, and spacious in its soundscapoe, yet packing a punch.
Next we find ‘Nautilus’, this groovy affair, unfurls its subtle magic from the off, with its tasy deep edges gemtly wrapping around you before an effected pad changes the vibe.
‘Esplendido’ follows, and we go deep, as this moody number grooves along effortlessly, with dubby edges and a hypnotic vibe.
