Emanuel Satie, Maga & Sean Doron – Sleepless (Scenarios Records)

Following the remarkable international success of their two-part Lev EP back in September, Scenarios is looking to continue it’s prolific run of studio output into the fourth quarter of the year, with the announcement of their latest collaborative single, Sleepless, by Emanuel Satie, Maga and Sean Doron.

Due for worldwide release on Friday, December 1 via Scenarios, Sleepless sees co-founders Emanuel Satie, Maga and Sean Doron Team up for the imprint’s seventh and final offering of 2023, following the widely lauded releases of Lev EP, Rise EP, Resilience, All The Time, Flores and Side By Side.

Already road-tested to immaculate reception at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, Sleepless is a beautifully refined house cut that ebbs and flows between organic instrumentation and precise synth-work, creating an ethereal soundscape of elements that oozes peak-time dancefloor charm.

Built with ‘the journey’ in mind, Maga, Sean and Emanuel’s latest offering showcases constant evolution of Scenarios within its component members, weaving effortlessly between melody and tone to encapsulate the listener from the off. Remaining true to the collective’s trademark sound, the record is a texture-rich fusion of dynamic percussion, rolling groove and an unmistakable piano-led breakdown, all of which are brought together alongside the tribal stamp and water tight production values for which Scenarios has become so loved.

Established in April 2022 as an all-encompassing artist collective, label and events brand by Maga, Sean Doron, Tim Engelhardt and Emanuel Satie, Scenarios has taken the electronic music world by storm over the past eighteen months with their intelligent, exquisitely crafted productions and instantly recognizable sound. Known the world over for their unique underground energy and standout live performances, the collective has forged a deep and melodic sound all of their own, which is as organic and ethereal as it is experimental.

Pornbugs – Cielos & Artica (Bondage Music)

Pornbugs are on a roll, and return with an exciting new release Cielos and Artica with remix support from Dachshund and Steve Kelley.

Pornbugs continue to impress with a solid two tracker of deep techy house vibes. With nearly 20 years in the industry, the pair have seen many changes. One thing to remain constant is the quality of their output, and these are no exception.

‘Cielos’ glistens on a bed of groovy percussion and tribal bass. Hypnotic and satisfyingly deep, the trippy meodics and spoken word sample interact with precision and style. ‘Artica’ follows suit with a gritty bass-led vibe and swinging hats. Rhodesy keys and icy pads add drama and tension.

On remix duties, Clapper co-owner and underground legend, Dachshund adds his minimal house stylings to ‘Cielos’ teasing out the main motifs to astonishing effect. Meanwhile UK artist Steve Kelley turns in a floaty reimagination of ‘Artica’ which transcends genre.

Querido (CH) – Tell Me EP (Beachside Records)

Querido (CH) returns to Beachside with his latest release titled ‘Groove On EP’ a vibe described as energetic and exciting. ‘Groove On EP’ is the perfect addition to any party playlist. It also creates an addictive beat that will have listeners dancing from start to finish.

Querido (CH) with these two tracks demonstrates his talent with a high quality production, as the instrumentation of the two tracks is mainly composed of percussion, beats and vocals. This release allows us to fully immerse in the pulsating energy and captivating melodies and lets the infectious beats and dynamic melodies take us to new heights.

As an ideal complement we have an explosive remix by the Ecuadorian artist Roudkav that closes this release with a flourish.
