Ephlum & KXDR – Mitad De La Noche (Cosmic Awakenings)

Lemurian’s record label, Cosmic Awakenings drops a collaborative organic house release by Ephlum and KXDR, which features solo remixes by Chris IDH, Alex Twin, Zuma Dionys, Valeron and Alvaro Suarez.

Ephlum and KXDR have previously collaborated on tracks released by labels such as trndmsk and Lump Records. So far, KXDR has only released music as part of this production partnership, but Ephlum is also a successful solo artist.

Based in Dubai, Ephlum is a resident DJ at the country’s highly respected Sushi Samba events along with producing tracks for the likes of Pipe & Pochet, Cafe De Anatolia and Baikal Nomads. This is his second time releasing original music on Cosmic Awakenings, and he has also provided the record label with numerous remixes.

On remix duty, Chris IDH is a Greek artist who has released on imprints including the likes of Kosa. Alex Twin is a Dubai-based talent who has been featured on All Day I Dream and Bar 25. Zuma Dionys is a pioneering organic house producer known for his works on labels ranging from Sol Selectas to LNDKHN. Valeron has remixed tracks for the likes of Stil Vor Talent and Alvaro Suarez is a prolific artist who has featured on labels ranging from Underyourskin Records to Do Not Sit.

The original mix of “Mitad de la Noche’ is sun drenched melodic house with sensual vocals and flamenco guitars fused with dramatic strings and flowing organic percussion. Each of the remixes adds mesmerizing variation to the release ranging from melodic/deep house to downtempo electronic.

Boy Oh Boy & Eleonora – In Change EP (UGENIUS Music)

As we enter the final month of the year and we welcome Boy Oh Boy, or as we like to call them, ‘BOB’ Two characters hailing from Germany & France, Boy Oh Boy instantly caught our attention with their fusion of Afro and Melodic sounds. Recent releases on Get Physical and Poesie Musik gained solid support from the finest of selectors and their laid back and comical personas resonated with us here at the Knights Table.

After some back and forth over WhatsApp, the boys delivered a cracking 2 track EP titled “In Change” which features vocalist Eleanora. The Journey has jumped on remix duties, stripping back the original and adding some of their signature flavour.

Rounding out the EP is “Fella Fella” which we feel packs just the same punch as the lead track. Our Trans-tasman friends “Out Of Sorts” take charge of the remix here, which has been a long time coming and a warm welcome to the UGenius familia. The brothers from NZ who have been at the forefront of the Kiwi market for some time, provide a driving touch which really turn this into a dancefloor monster.

Megan Fair & Klunsh – Carmen Sprituale (Timeless Moment)

French duet Megan Fair and Klunsh bring the highly emotional single “Carmen Spirtuale” to Timeless Moment.

When Megan Fair, DJ Producer and Psychologist, came to see her close friend Klunsh, DJ Producer and Philosopher, this summer 2022, she knew she had to share in music what she had been through in her life the previous two years. After her last track Roundabout, produced in solo, she wanted to make a new track that would express what she had learned, her awakening and her rebirth. In the studio, during the creative process, Megan Fair received something bigger than herself, a call that came from the depths of her soul and at the same time exceeded her. A connection between sky and earth, between her soul and the universe : Carmen Spirituale was born. Megan naturally composed the main melody on synth, Klunsh accompanied her in turn and this symbiosis between the two producers became the strength of the track. Vibrational frequencies, sublimation and alchemy are the foundations of Carmen Spirituale.

Finishing off this release we have label boss Morttagua giving his interpretation to “Carmen Spirituale”. In his Remix, Morttagua brings hypnotic grooves, tribal percussions and his famous 4d plucks, to transform “Carmen Spirituale” into a total peak time dance floor weapon. Simply timeless!
