Betelgeize – Halcón Remixes (It’s Good To Be A Tree)

Betelgeize revisits his 2023 organic house album ‘El Halcón Lucido Y El Dragón Negro’ with a stunning set of new remixes by AIWAA, Daniel Hokum, Kermesse, Valique, Yassen, and Alvaro Suarez. There is also a collaborative rework by Fawno and PAVKA who are working under the alias Nenes Del Cacao.

The original version of the album told the story of a traveller who embarks on a magical journey, and these new versions breath fresh life into Betelgeize’s tale of adventure.

The remix artists bring their own unique style to the release, as each of them is a skilled producer who is able to weave sonic tapestries that ignite a dance floor, while also telling a story.

This release comes via Betelgeize’s record label, It’s Good To Be A Tree, which released the original version of this stunning album. Many of the artists on this release have featured regularly on the imprint, and this remixed version covers styles such as Afro house, deep house, downtempo, and organic house. It’s defining features are tribal drums, African vocals, soaring melodies and trippy atmospherics.

AIWAA is an artist who has previously collaborated with Betelgeize, but he is also known for the tropical sound of his solo organic house tracks on labels such as Cosmic Awakenings.

Daniel Hokum’s unique tracks are full of charisma, and he blends influences from different genres with traditional organic house. His tracks can also be found on other imprints such as • kosa • and LNDKHN.

Kermesse is a live artist and producer from Argentina, and is famed for a jazz-infused style, released by labels such as Sol Selectas, Kamai Music, and The Magic Movement.

Valique is another artist who has previously collaborated on music with Betelgeize, in addition to many solo releases on labels like Walk of Sound.

Nenes Del Cacao is the collaborative alias of Fawno and PAVKA who are working together for the second time, after previously collaborating to remix a track on Downtempo Mexico.

Yassen produces downtempo tracks with melodic grooves, and his music has been featured on the likes of Cafe De Anatolia and Serafin Audio.

Alvaro Suarez is a Spanish artist who has released his majestic style of organic house through labels ranging from Underyourskin Records to Do Not Sit.

 

 

Raidho – Ancient Worlds EP (Sol Selectas)

Sabo’s record label, Sol Selectas, welcomes the return of Raidho who delivers three organic house tracks with melodic grooves, alongside remixes by Guy Maayan and Giovanny Aparicio.

This is Raidho’s third solo EP on Sol Selectas, and it showcases the Polish artist’s blend of Afro-inspired percussion, melodic synths and organic sounds. His tracks have a powerful sound that fuses aboriginal rhythms with urban influences.

In addition to his previous releases on Sol Selectas, Raidho’s music can also be found on other respected imprints such as Bar 25 Music, 3000 Grad Records, and Camel VIP.

On remix duty, Guy Maayan is a Sol Selectas regular, whose style combines live instruments with Middle Eastern influence, and the electronic sound of his magical synth lines. He has featured many times on Sol Selectas, in addition to other imprints such as Shango Records, • kosa •, Baikal Nomads, and Akbal Music.

Giovanny Aparicio is a Colombian artist who has been a regular feature of Sol Selectas various annual compilation series, and this time he provides a stunning remix with powerful melodies. He has a melodic style of organic house, which has been released on imprints including Pipe & Pochet, Abracadabra Music, and Anjunadeep.

The title track, “Ancient Worlds,” kick starts the release with the cosmic melodies of epic pads layered over shuffling percussion and a throbbing bassline.

Next up, “Anunnaki Whispers” is a trippy track with rippling percussion creating a wonky groove that underpins sparkling pads and murky atmospherics.

Guy Maayan’s remix of “Anunnaki Whispers,” bolsters the percussion and makes more prominent use of the synths to create an indie dance version.

Last of the originals, “Oracle’s Vision” has swelling synths and rolling organic percussion layered with a twinkling melody to create a techy groove full of suspense.

Giovanny Aparicio lifts the tempo of “Oracle’s Vision” and adds some additional synth parts to create a melodic version that focuses on the original’s techy elements without losing the organic sound.

The artwork by Helia Jamali is a visual mirror for the EP’s transcendent sound, weaving a cosmic multidimensional web from ancient memories and radiant beams of the sun.

 

 

MAZIRI – Amani (Baikal Nomads)

Baikal Nomads presents a stunning organic house single by MAZIRI, which is a collaborative project by Ephlum and Stéphane Salerno. The release also includes majestic remixes by Alvaro Suarez and Betelgeize.

Ephlum and Stéphane Salerno recently debut their MAZIRI alias via an EP on MoBlack Records, and this delightful single is their follow-up release.

Stéphane Salerno is a multi-instrumentalist from France, and he is known for his solo releases on Pandhora, Cafe De Anatolia and • kosa •. He has previously featured on Baikal Nomads when collaborating with Veytik.

This is the second time that Ephlum has worked with Baikal Nomads, as he featured a solo track on one of the label’s compilations. He is a Dubai-based artist combining instruments from around the world with electronic sounds, and his music’s been released on other imprints ranging from Pipe & Pochet to Cosmic Awakenings.

On remix duty, Alvaro Suarez is a Spanish artist who’s a classically trained violinist turned organic house producer. His music often has Latin influences, and he’s been featured on imprints such as Lump Records, Underyourskin Records, and Do Not Sit.

Betelgeize is another accomplished producer, known for his trippy organic house and downtempo releases on his imprints Leveldva, and It’s Good To Be A Tree.

The original mix of “Amani” has enchanting female vocals that provide uplifting energy, while the organic drums and twinkling guitar complete the feel-good vibe of this beautiful track. There is also an instrumental mix that focuses on the eloquence of the guitar and power of the drums.

Alvaro Suarez’s remix of “Amani” lifts the tempo, and adds rippling synth pads to create a melodic groove with added depth and atmosphere. Betelgeize takes a different approach with his dubby remix of “Amani,” which strips back the groove to focus on the percussion and vocal.

 

 

REX STAX – Yaro EP (Chakra Records)

German DJ and producer REX STAX has released a new two-track EP titled “Yaro” on the respected label Chakra Records. The EP features the songs “Yaro” and “Duba.”

Both tracks blend Afro House rhythms with Arabic-style vocals and tribal instruments, creating a vibrant and uplifting sound — perfect for club nights, long drives, or open-air festivals.

REX STAX is known for his international performances and collaborations with artists such as Idd Aziz, Stevo Atambire, and Mr. Vegas. His music has appeared on labels like Café De Anatolia and Hamsa Records, and his releases receive support from global Afro House icon Black Coffee, showcasing his ability to connect global influences through sound.

With the Yaro EP, REX STAX continues his journey of merging world sounds with modern electronic grooves.
