Avantika – Moody Koyal EP (Get Physical Music)
Get Physical Music welcomes rising Indian artist Avantika with her powerful debut EP ‘Moody Koyal’: A bold, two-track statement that bridges traditional Indian influences with modern club energy.
Known for fusing her classical Indian music roots and rock vocal background with a globe-spanning electronic sound, Avantika is quickly becoming one of the most exciting new voices in dance music. As the first Indian DJ to play Exit Festival, she has already made waves with standout performances across continents, from Berlin to Burning Man. With a sonic identity shaped by tribal, Afro, Latin, Middle Eastern and Indian textures, she brings something entirely her own to the dance floor.
Opening track ‘Maro Dum’ is a hypnotic reinterpretation of the iconic Dum Maro Dum, transformed into a deep and seductive club groove. Avantika’s dreamy vocals float over pulsating rhythms and swirling synths, offering a nod to the past while pushing forward into uncharted territory. It’s haunting, stylish, and impossible not to move to.
Title track “Moody Koyal” is a fierce tribute to India’s wildlife, capturing nature in full voice. Here, Avantika blends tribal percussion, eerie koyal birdsong, growling basslines, and snippets of monkey chatter into a riotous sonic tapestry. With hard-edged synth stabs and organic samples, it’s a raw and electrifying trip through the jungle, both primal and futuristic in equal measure.

Joeblack – The Groove and The Universe (DWorx Music)
Brazilian electronic producer Joeblack has been quietly building momentum since his Robin S. rework caught the ears of many of house music’s legendary DJs. Now, with The Groove and The Universe, he’s delivered something cosmic—a title that perfectly encapsulates the collision of personal rhythms with universal frequencies.
The opening mix opens with the kind of synth chord stabs that evoke memories of warehouse nights. “The Groove and The Universe (Joeblack House Mix)” weaves echoed vocal snippets through old school piano progressions, creating that rare alchemy where dancers become movement. The crowd-pleasing breakdown arrives like a moment of shared recognition.
Paul et Luc transform the original into “The Groove and The Universe (Paul et Luc Remix)”—all crunchy drums and digital funk circuitry. Their approach suggests microchips breakdancing, where robots learn rhythm. Percolating synth lines create a sonic landscape that loudly demands proper speaker systems.
Belo Horizonte’s own DJ Daniel D closes the release with swooshy synths and funk guitar punctuated by effected vocal hits. “The Groove and The Universe (DJ Daniel D Remix)” channels poolside atmospheres into dancefloor mechanics, culminating in a spoken-word section that operates like a rhythmic incantation.
