Ubaruh – Onda Frisson EP (Cocada Music)

In the new release that reflects the magic of the Brazilian summer, Cocada Music welcomes the EP Onda Frisson, marking the debut of Ubaruh in the catalog. Ubaruh, project by Phillipi Alves (Fatnotronic) and the music producer from São Paulo, Emmo Martins (Monterno), presents an EP of two original tracks and two remixes which blend references that connect the most acidic grooves to the softest swings, with a solar and refreshing touch.

“Mecenato de Frisson” brings that shiver to your skin with its guitar strums that adorn the track’s groove. The bass pulses with a light acidity, accompanied by percussive beats of Arlen Ribeiro and sweet melodies that gain a hint of “frisson” with the presence of vocals. The track accompanies a remix signed by master Yuksek, owner of some of the hottest tunes in contemporary French House, highlighting the warmth of Disco Music and the dancing energy that is his signature.

Diamond Setter – Twelve Twelve Edits (Promo)

The first two tracks are originally Acapellas, Helen is a Persian folk song from the early 1900’s which I found in an Honest Jon’s compilation years ago, and thought producing a track around it can really work, and here it is.

The second track, an Acapella originally, from Lebanon, 1983. Had it in my crate for years, and recently managed to produce a track around it.

The third track is no stranger, and many have remixed it before. The approach was to have a minimal track where the main ride is the vocals, also to be used as a filler track, like a breather to the dancefloor.

The idea for Jingoloba was to have a 303 bass line and a kick, and let the track do it’s work.

With the last track, I challenged Myself to produce a track only from sounds that I sampled from experimental noise recordings, I managed to convert random sounds to kicks and snares, etc,..

Booka Shade – No Memory & Out In The Fields (Blaufield Music)

Booka Shade open their 2024 account with fresh music on Blaufield Music, ‘No Memory/Out In The Fields’.

Entering into another new year with fresh material arriving straight out of the studio, Blaufield Music bosses Booka Shade are looking to pick up right where they left off in 2023 after celebrating a monumental 20th Anniversary of the project across the past twelve months. Following up the intense year of shows, with tours across Europe, North America and Australia, the legendary pairing reveal two new productions to kick off the 2024 schedule via their excellently crafted two-track EP, ‘No Memory/Out In The Fields’.

‘No Memory’, the first track during their recent US and Australia tours, opens the package with a signature blend of scintillating leads supported by wandering synths and brooding bass patterns to craft a captivating and driving production, while ‘Out In The Fields’ is in reminiscence of classic UK summer festivals and sees airy melodies and delicate top lines meet swirling textures for a delightful track made to soundtrack blissful moments.
