Cantos & Hamza Rahimtula – Return to the Feelings (Viva Recordings)

India’s deep house don Hamza Rahimtula has joined forces with HMNI Music impresario Cantos for an electric Viva Recordings single, “Return to the Feelings”.

The release leads with the instrumental Dub, owing to the pair’s allegiance to the DJ’s sonic domain. A jazzy drum shuffle immediately signals that this cut is something a little different for the dancefloor, before a rolling sub-bass riff and sparkling chords come on the scene.

A glorious half-time breakdown, furthering the jazzy predilection, transmits a moment of half-time bliss before the track builds to funky new heights. The Original version of “Return to the Feelings” follows, featuring GJJF Music’s George JJ Flores giving an emotive spoken word statement in the mid-section break, enhancing the cut’s already potent amount of cosmicness.

Fabian Krooss – The Little Things Remixed (Manjumasi Music)

atish and Mark Slee’s record label Manjumasi revisits Fabian Krooss’ ‘The Little Things’ EP with a selection of deep and melodic remixes by Hermanez, Kyong Sono and atish.

Fabian Krooss is a German artist known for his music on labels such as Stil vor Talent or A Tribe Called Kotori, and his EP ‘The Little Things’ was released in June of 2023. The two tracks on the release became instant classics, and these new remixes breathe fresh life into the stunning originals.

Based in America, atish provides a mesmerising remix in the style he has featured on highly respected labels ranging from Anjuandeep to Kindisch.

Hermanez is a Belgian artist whose mesmerising style of melodic house can be found on iconic record labels such as John Digweed’s Bedrock, Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream and Armen Miran’s Hoomidaas.

Kyong Sono is an exciting new talent from Berlin whose captivating style is a blend of immersive atmosphere and soothing melodies. He has previously collaborated on music with the likes of Just Emma, and released solo productions via record labels such as Rebellion der Traumer.

Each of the remixes transforms the original’s shuffling percussion, shimmering melodies and warm basslines into a reimagined version. atish provides an atmospheric remix of “Whopper,” while Hermanez’s compelling rework of “Whopper” adds additional synth parts to create an uplifting version. Kyong Sono closes the release with a remix of “The Little Things” that pushes back the synths to create more depth and space for the percussion to lead the groove.

REFRAKT’s new EP is coming as a Christmas present! Ian Daly is a producer and DJ based in New York City. His last EP release, False Memories (Phisica) charted in Beatport’s top 10 Indie Dance. He has worked with Alejandro Molinari, Badwolf, and Nico Raibak and has played in clubs and festivals around the world.

Nico Raibak, DJ and producer from Mexico City, a prominent figure in the electronic music scene since 2012 till today.
