Ahiram – Essence Reaver EP (Ready Mix Records)

Release Date:
August 22nd 2025 (Beatport Exclusive)
September 5th 2025 (Worldwide)

Following a string of releases, Ahiram returns to Ready Mix Records for the milestone 290th release with his two-track ‘Essence Reaver EP’, backed by classy remixes from label boss BiG AL and Italian maestro Valentino Guerriero.

The title track, ‘Essence Reaver,’ is a late-night deep house journey that exudes a sense of elegant intensity. Big, sweeping synths dance above a slick foundation, creating a cinematic soundscape that rides the line between introspection and floor-burning groove. With lush melodic layers and a sense of drama woven into its fabric, it’s the kind of track that creeps up on dancers in the afterhours, commanding attention without ever raising its voice.

On remix duty, BiG AL delivers a smooth and groove-laden reinterpretation that stays true to the heart of the original while subtly enhancing its rhythm and flow. With refined programming work, warm low-end energy, and added atmospheric textures, his version brings a deeper, late-night vibe that’s both sophisticated, and immersive; perfect for long blends, and elegant transitions.

Valentino Guerriero, fresh off his Haute Musique debut, brings his Italian finesse to the fold with a remix that leans into the depth of the original but adds a crisp modern bounce. Tight basslines, spatial FX, and innovative elements give this mix a rolling momentum that makes it ideal for early builds or moody warmups. It’s elegant, restrained, and utterly effective.

Rounding out the EP is ‘Wit’s End,’ a deeper, more reflective cut that explores hazier territory. With dubby textures, heartfelt synth design, and a subtly shifting groove, this one feels like a soundtrack to wandering thoughts and long night drives.

IZIKI20

Djuma Soundsystem, Mikimoto & Da Ragnio – Yoruba (Iziki Music)

Djuma Soundsystem, Mario Da Ragnio & Mikimoto conjure authentic “Yoruba” vibes in their new single.

Iziki head honcho Djuma Soundsystem teams up with Düsseldorf-based brothers Mario Da Ragnio and Mikimoto to deliver Yoruba — a genre-defying track that transcends borders and musical conventions.

Built on a foundation of tribal minimalism, the track pulses with hypnotic energy. A soulful African-inspired chant weaves through the rhythm, gradually building tension with unwavering confidence. Just when you think you’ve grasped its direction, the track takes a bold turn — a stunning trumpet solo breaks through, bringing a fresh, unexpected twist. Then, the energy surges again, culminating in a dancefloor-shaking climax.

True to its name, Yoruba resists easy geographic categorization. Its tribal roots are layered with trippy synths, Latin brass, and African vocals that even hint at Balkan choir textures — a global tapestry of sound and soul.

This collaboration is born from mutual respect and shared passion for the tribal club pulse. Mikimoto infuses warm, humanized house grooves, while Mario Da Ragnio brings a touch of his signature minimalistic precision and immersive sound design. Djuma Soundsystem, known for his emotionally rich productions and global DJ presence, rounds it all out with a finely tuned ear. He’s been testing and perfecting this track on dancefloors for months.

LENNYTUNES

VA – Jericho EP (LennyTunes Music)

Jericho is a deeply textured journey, where breath, rhythm, and ancient melodies meet in the present moment.

Across five tracks, LennyTunes explores distinct Maqams, weaving the bold voice of the Yarghul (also known as Argul or Arghoul, a double‑reed flute) with the mystical tones of the Bansuri and Nay, the earthy resonance of the Balafon, and live Middle Eastern percussion.

Rooted in Middle Eastern textures and earthy African grooves, Jericho blends traditional wedding Debka energy with the exotic pulse of Jaffa’s nightclubs.

The music moves between raw vitality and immersive depth, unfolding in tight, powerful, and cinematic layers. Every element breathes with authenticity: live-recorded flutes and percussion merge seamlessly with the warmth of analog synths, creating a sound both immersive and festival-ready.
